Gilbert | Survivor of Addiction
"It’s been a struggle but I must and will give thanks to coaches who believe in not giving up on people."
When I first came to Face It TOGETHER, it was to use the computer for job search but I was still not ready to quit my addiction to alcohol. I come from an alcoholic family so throughout my younger years I became an alcoholic myself, due to the fact that everyone was doing it.
I ended up in prison due to my addiction to alcohol and my choice of friends. It’s been a struggle but I must and will give thanks to the very important coaches at Face It TOGETHER who believe in not giving up on people who are in the struggle of addiction. Once again, I give thanks to Face It TOGETHER, which helped me to believe in myself.
